It's a Nice Day to... Tour Again 2026

As the summer heat takes over, one of the most legendary names in rock music is hitting the stage for an extended run of shows this year. It's a Nice Day to... Tour Again with Billy Idol! Achieving massive fame in the 70s as he dominated the London punk rock scene as part of Generation X, he soon kicked off his legendary solo career, becoming a lead figure in the MTV-led "Second British Invasion" in America. With big hits like "Rebel Yell", "Eyes Without a Face", and "White Wedding", he was no stranger to the limelight. With plenty of Grammy nominations and a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, the man is keeping the legacy alive on stage.

About Billy Idol

It all began when his stage name "Billy Idol" was coined after his chemistry teacher named Bill Price.. He was described as "idle" on his report card, and Idol has shared how much he had hated chemistry. "It was a bit of a goof, but part of the old English school of rock. It was a 'double thing', not just a poke at the superstar-like people... It was fun, you know?" Idol shared in ConcertVault interview from 1983.

In the late 70s, he joined the retro-rock band Chelsea as a guitarist. This marked the start of his signature look, using contact lenses and dyeing his hair blond with a crew cut. After a few weeks, Idol switched gears, and headed out with Tony James to quit the band and form Generation X, with Idol becoming a singer & frontman for the new band. From then on, a legacy had begun.

In 1981, Idol moved to New York and kicked off his solo career, working with Bill Aucoin - Kiss' former manager. His self-titled solo debut LP came out in 1982, debuting in the top-45 of the Billboard 200, and hitting the top-five in New Zealand. Being part of what was called the "Second British Invasion" of the US, as led by MTV, his songs "White Wedding" and "Dancing with Myself" were staples in the program.

His career saw further success with "Rebel Yell", his second album released in 1983. With a run of hits like its title track, "Eyes Without a Face", and "Flesh for Fantasy", he became widely recognized as a huge name that would go down rock history books.

Fast forward today, he's a living legend who's keeping his punk, retro, and rockin' legacy alive on the big stage. With concerts consistently praised as theatrical and nostalgic performances with his commanding stage presence, fans (both longtime rockers and next-gen rockheads) always go hard & wild at his tours.

As he embarks on an extended "It's a Nice Day to... Tour Again" run of shows this summer, make sure you're part of the celebration by booking your tickets now!
