Maine Savings Amphitheater
He is a legend, a living proof that ‘a country boy can survive’. He is the embodiment of a rowdy attitude mixed with incredible musical versatility, solidly backed by a ‘country state of mind’. He’s in the habit of blending classic country sounds with Southern rock and blues, and like they say, ‘old habits’ die hard. Even now, after over six decades in the country scene, it’s clear that old Bocephus was ‘born to boogie’.
And this year, Bangor, you’ll be getting in on ‘the American way’, because one of country’s biggest stars is coming to your neck of the woods! That’s right, Bangor - Hank Williams Jr. is coming to the Maine Savings Amphitheatre on 1 August 2026, ‘Live In Concert’, alongside special guest Joe Nichols!
Rumor has it that with ticket prices starting from only $78 they are selling insanely fast, so if you want to get in on the rowdiest country party of the year, you better hit that ‘Get Tickets’ button now!
Hank Williams Jr. has been a major force in the country industry for many, many years. After finding his own voice and stepping into his own shoes in the mid-1970s, he catapulted into star status, with Rolling Stone noting that the legend’s “mainstream country material has always been among Nashville’s best”. In those first two decades of his newly-found knack for country music, Hank Williams Jr. released no less than 21 albums, all certified gold and higher by the RIAA. His catchy country anthems and bare-bones, hard-edged country rock, electrifying stage presence, great voice, and off-the-charts energy made him a favorite among country icons around the world. If any more proof was needed, let the accolades do the talking: to date, Hank Williams Jr. has racked up no less than 26 Academy of Country Music Awards, four Emmy Awards, 11 Country Music Association Awards, and eight Grammy Awards. In 2007 Hank Williams Jr. was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, and in 2020 into the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Rolling Stone has also ranked him as one of the 100 Greatest Country Artists of All Time.
Even though Hank Williams Jr. has a few miles on the odometer, there’s still a hell of a lot of fuel left in the tank - and he just announced some new dates to be added to his summer tour across Southeast, Midwest, and Northeast America. The Live In Concert tour is slated to kick off in mid-April 2026 in Lafayette, Louisiana, with stops in Beaver Dam, Hamburg, Tampa, Virginia Beach, Clarkston, and Bangor, among others, before wrapping up in mid-September 2026 in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
Hank Williams Jr. will be joined at the iconic Maine Savings Amphitheatre by country artist Joe Nichols, best known for smash-hits such as Brokenheartsville, Sunny and 75, and I’ll Wait For You.
